UNN Resumes 3rd January, Amids Internal Crisis

The Authorities of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, Enugu State, Nigeria, has completed preparations for resumption of academic activities for the 2013/2014 academic session, despite the ongoing internal crisis brewing in the University following the replacement of the University Pro-Chancellor, Professor Enejere.

In a report by VNTI UNN, Mr. Chime Chinonso, all students are expected to return to campus on the 3rd of January, 2014, while lectures are to commence on the 17th of January, 2014.

However, we are still yet to find out if events would roll out as scheduled above, as a result of the crisis in the University. It was reported that lecturers and staffs of both campuses of the University has been protesting in black attires following the replacement of the Varsity pro-Chancellor by the Federal Government in December, 2013.

The first ever protest by the University as well as the Nsukka Community.
