About Scholarship

Through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), the Swiss Government grants foreign researchers university scholarships (Swiss universities, Federal Institutes of Technology and Universities of applied sciences).

These scholarships are offered either on the basis of reciprocity (fixed number of scholarships for each country) or within the framework of a pool (scholarships without fixed distribution by country). They are intended for young researchers who have graduated from university (postgraduates). These scholarships will enable applicants to undertake research work in the fields which the Swiss universities are particularly activein.

Scholarship Type: Postgraduate Scholarship

Who is qualified to apply?

Main conditions for the applicants are:

*. First class master, doctoral degree or equivalent university degree

*. Sufficient knowledge of the teaching language (French, German, Italian or English)

*. Age limit: 35 years (excluding the postdoctorate scholarships)

*. -If you are in Switzerland since more than 1 year you are not eligible for a Swiss Government scholarship.
