Poly Students, Others Protest Endless ASUP Strike

As the strike by the academic staff union of polytechnics continues, the members of the Education Right Campaign (ERC) and some students of the Yaba College of Technology yesterday embarked on a street protest against the 6-month ASUP strike.

The students who disrupted traffic during the protest said it is obvious that the government is not considering their future and called on the Federal Government to Intervene immediately and bring the strike to an end.

The ERC deputy coordinator while speaking in an interview said it was necessary for the body joined the students in the protest as this will show the seriousness of the matter and compel the Federal Government to reach agreement with the lecturers and call off the strike.
