ASUP Strike: Akanu Ibiam Polytechnic Suspends Strike, Resumes 9th June

The Authorities of the Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, has announced that the Institution has decided to suspend the ongoing industrial strike action by the academic staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP and that the polytechnic would resume to commence academic activities on the 9th of June, 2014.

A statement released on the official website of the polytechnic has it that:

This is to inform all students of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana and the public that Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana will re-open on Monday, 2nd of June, 2014 for the First Semester of 2013/2014 academic session.

Registration of new students starts immediately on Monday, 2nd of June, 2014 and lectures will begin on Monday, 9th of June, 2014.
