JAMB 2014 UTME: Tips To Note About 2014/2015 JAMB UTME

Its no longer news that the registrations for the JAMB 2014/2015 UTME exercise has begun for admission into all accredited tertiary institutions in the country.

1. Following the words of the JAMB Registrar after the 2013 exercise, Prof Dibu Ojerinde said: “We have gone digital in JAMB.” This translates that, we are likely to have the the jamb 2014/2015 UTME examination to be a Computer base test. About 1.8 Million Nigerian Students registered and sat for the JAMB 2013/2014 UTME exercise, and not more than 400,000 of these students were admitted, together with over 1 million students leaving our various high schools, we are most likely to have a new record of more than 2 million participants in the JAMB 2014 UTME exercise, hence, we urge you to prepare for the competition.

3. Candidates who applied for the JAMB 2013/2014 UTME and selected the Paper and Pencil Type(PPT) were basically Victims of inefficiency of marking by the board, with majority of them, being forced to settle with scores that weren’t theirs, all in a bid for JAMB and its inefficient board to hide their disgraced face, hence, we urge all candidates who will be applying for the JAMB 2014/2015 UTME exercise to be careful, on what to select, with the Computer Based Test(CBT) high recommended following last years Experience.

4. All interested participants, especially those within the South-Eastern environs to endeavour to make early registrations for the JAMB 2014/2015 UTME to avoid missing out on available centres. Last year, with the record number of 1.8 Million Participants, Centres were exhausted in the first 2 months of registrations, and late registrants being pushed to the North, north east and north central zones of the country to take their examinations. A number of these persons eventually missing their examinations due to reasons of Insecurity or Accommodation problems. Hence, we urge you all to make hay while the sun shines.

5. 7. Know the accreditation status of the course you want to apply for in the selected Institution, before submitting your application. To be precise, Medicine and Surgery is not yet accredited in most Universities, eg, the Benue State University, BSUM and many others, and candidates end up spending 9 years plus, if ever admitted in such institutions. The same applies to other courses.
