ANSU STUDENTS BURNS DOWN SCHOOL BUILDINGS AFTER HIKE IN TUITION FEES TO N230,000- VNTI REPORTS

The Anambra State University(ANSU) Uli, yesterday, suffered another setback, after students of the main campus at Uli, reportedly burns down the bursars office and other university structures, as a results of the tuition fee hike.

VNTI correspondent ANSU, Okechukwu, who was on ground to bring us details of the incident, reported that, the students of the Institution sparked up the riot which initially was a planned peaceful protest, after the University management increased her tuition fees to a remarkable! Two Hundred and Thirty thousand naira, (N230,000) per session.

The protests led to the burning down of various school structures, including the Bursars buildings and many others.

We hope the University management and the Protesting students come to a peaceful resolution, as the Anambra State University Second semester examinations, are currently on hold.

This is truly bad, i don’t advise students to do such an act, but ANSU is to be blamed too.
