Nineteen-year-old Wukeh Egem-Odey on Friday emerged the overall best graduating student of the Covenant University, Ota in Ogun in the 2011/ 2012 academic session.

Egem-Odey is among the 88 first class students produced by the university among 1,389 other graduates conferred with various degrees at the university’s seventh convocation ceremony at Otta, Ogun state.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Aize Obayan, said that 10 of the graduating students were less than 19 years old.

Speaking on the division of Honours, Professor Obayan disclosed that;
• 646 of the students, graduated with a second class honour(upper division)
• 576 graduated with second class honours(lower division) and
• 79 received third class degrees.

The vice chancellor said that the institution’s School of Postgraduate Studies graduated a total of 89 students out of which 70 had master’s degree and 19 Ph.D graduates.
