ASUP/FG Meeting Ends In Deadlock, Vows To Continue Strike

Latest meeting between the Federal Government and striking polytechnic lecturers this week ended in deadlock according to VNTI reporter.

The National Publicity Secretary of ASUP, Clement Chirman, confirmed the stalled meeting, between members of the Union and the Federal Government Led by the Minister of Labour, Chukwuemeka Wogu.

Striking Lecturers of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) have vowed to continue with the ongoing strike until the Federal Government meets all of its demands.

National Publicity secretary, ASUP, Mr. Clement Chirman appealed to parents and affected persons to understand the lecturers’ position, noting that it was to help the education system in the country which had almost collapsed.
