UNILORIN Engineering Students Embark On Varsity Road Rehabilitation

The 200 Level students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, who are currently on the Students’ Work Experience Programme (SWEP), last week Tuesday and Wednesday (September 10 and 11, 2013), embarked on road rehabilitation exercise.

A statement made available to UNILORIN Bulletin by the Acting Head, Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, Dr. A. S. Aremu, indicated that “the target of the exercise was to identify and make safe potentially dangerous defects on the road surface and keep the University campus roads in a serviceable and safe state.”

During the exercise, some damaged portions of the road surface within the Senior Staff Quarters and the main University campus were repaired.
