The National Board For Technical Education has approved the establishment of The Polytechnic, Imesi-Ile, Osun State.
This was contained in a letter of approval signed by the Executive Secretary, NBTE, Dr. Masa’udu Adamu Kazaure. The letter, dated August 6, stated that the Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqquayat Rufa’i, had also approved the establishment of the institution in line with the provisions of Act 16 of 1985 and Act 9 of 1993, to establish a private polytechnic.
This followed the visit of the NBTE team to the polytechnic.
This approval, according to him, took effect from July 12, 2013.
Kazaure added, “The approval allows the polytechnic to commence the following programmes with effect from 2013/2014 academic session: ND, Computer Engineering Technology; ND, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology and ND, Computer Science.”
