Why The Federal Universities Cannot Reduce Their Cut-Off To 180!

FROM OUR INBOX: A Member of the VNTI, Nigerian Students Community, had this to say to us, after the announcement of the 2013/2014 UTME/Post-Utme Unified Cut-off mark for Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics.

It seems to be a pure reasoning, but you should read and Share below:

• What Admission Seekers Don’t Know About the Jamb Cut-Off:

Taking UNN for Example:
Over 120,000 Candidates applied for admission at the University of Nigeria, UNN

The University has a carrying ability of 7,000 slots

About 19,500 persons scored 200 and above
52,444 scored 180 and above!!

How would the reduce the cut-off to 180 when they can get 7,000 in 19,500??

Why do u think post-utme screening was implemented??

Answer- To Screen Out and Reduce Population, so if about 101,500 persons are already screened out, Why should the University bring back 33,000 by reducing her cut-off as 180??
If they do, its definitely for money!

ADMIN: Nigerian Students, Jambites, What Do You Think??
