UNBELIEVABLE: Plateau State College Of Education Yet To Convoke After 23 yrs!!!!

The College of Education, Gindiri, Plateau State, has not held a convocation for its 19 sets of graduates, 23 years after it was established, NAN, reports.

“We have graduated 19 sets of students without holding a single convocation. In fact, the temporary results issued them are being rejected in some quarters,” the Provost, Prof. Shem Binda, disclosed.

Binda spoke with NAN shortly after Gov. Jonah Jang visited the college to inspect its facilities.

“For 19 years now, our graduates have been using temporary results; we are getting worried because most of them are losing their jobs because such results are being rejected by employers.

“We are also worried that the non-issuance of the original certificates to the graduates is posing a serious threat to the image of the college,” he said.

Binda said that he had written three memos to the state Ministry of Education on that issue.
