YEWA THINK-TANK GROUP VISITS UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS(UNILAG)!!

A twelve-man delegation of the Yewa Think-Tank (YTT) has paid a courtesycall on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Rahamon A. Bello FAEng in his office on Thursday, December 13, 2012.

The delegation included Professor D. A. Alabi, Deacon Poju Adeyemi, ChiefE. A. Edun, Engineer Wole Makinde, Professor Tope Popoola, Alhaji Abass Olankan, Pastor George Adekunle Prince Abodunrin Oyekanmi, Joseph Adeyemi, Segun Adeleye, Taiwo Bankola and Dr. J. O. Y. Aihonsu.

Principal Officers who joined the Vice-Chancellor to receive the august visitors were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Research), ProfessorBabajide Alo FAS ; Registrar, Oluwarotimi Shodimu and Bursar, Lateef Odekunle.

Leader of the delegation and President of the body, Professor D. A. Alabi congratulated Professor Bello on his recent appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of the University and offered advice aimed at ensuring the success of his administration.

Professor Alabi urged the Vice-Chancellor to be a good listener, evaluate all available options before taking decisions and be wary of sycophants. Hecalled for the support of all members of the University Community to guarantee that the University remained among the pack of top universitiesin the world.

In response, the Vice-Chancellor welcomed and thanked the team for the visit. He noted with delight his receipt of a congratulatory letter from the team, immediately after his appointment.

Professor Bello reiterated his commitment to the objectives of the Think-Tank and activities aimed at ensuring the development of Yewa-Land in particular and Nigeria, in general.

A member of delegation, Pastor George Adekunle later led a Prayer Session for the Vice-Chancellor, other members of the management team and the University.
