UNN STUDENTS DROPS INEFFICIENT MTN AS NETWORK DEALS WITH THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY!!!

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN) students community, have begun their mass exodus from the Nigerias most popular telecommunication network MTN, after the recent experienced inefficiency in delivering service on the part of the mobile network to a more dependable, but less popular ETISALAT network.

According to a students of the University, the MTN service within the Nsukka Province, has dropped to a record low, to a situation of No service at all.

He further explained that, A student within the University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN) campus, at the time of writing this, cannot make or receive phone calls on or with their MTN lines as all lines have been disconnected.

The same applies to all Data and SMS connections within the University.

All attempt to make calls within the University, or to numbers at the campus, is greeted with a;
• Number not reacheable
• Number not available
•. Number busy or the unpopular
• Number switched off,
Tone, whereas, the said MTN mobile number, is right in front of you, fully powered on.

This has been confirmed by VNTI correspondent UNN, Mr Innocent Osinanna, who narrated the pitiful state of the MTN network in the area.

He disclosed, that calls were made to the MTN Customer service, 180, and they simply reported that the Network is currently on an Upgrade, which is attributed to the noticeable service disruptions.

But the fact remains that, the MTN network has been terrible in the University for over two months and still counting.

Another reporter also revealed that over 60% of the University students have dropped their MTN Lines in favour of Other Networks with Etisalat Nigeria, being their most preferred destination, for reasons best known to them.

We appeal to the management of MTN Nigeria, to hasten their supposed Upgrade, and restore better network connection, which they are known for, so as to prevent a complete exodus of subscribers from the Network.
