IMO STATE UNIVERSITY- IMSU TO CALL OFF STRIKE ACTION!

The Lecturers of the Imo State University(IMSU) owerri, are set to call off their ongoing strike embarked on owing to the non payment of their wages by the State government.

It was reported, that the State Governor, Gov. Rochas Okorocha, visited the University premises and made promises to pay the Lecturers and staffs their long overdue salaries, while asking the students of the University to return to school and continue with their academic activities.

However, the stands of the lecturers is still not known, if or not, they would be taken in by the governor’s speech to return, or continue with the ongoing industrial action.

We sincerely hope they the situation is resolved soon, so that students can continue with their second semester examination of the 2011/2012 academic session.
