The National Institute of Information Technology – NIIT Nigeria chapter announce the 13th edition of its IT scholarship for Nigerian students and graduates to apply for its training program.
REGISTRATION PERIOD AND DEADLINE
• The scholarship application is currently open and has been scheduled to close on 20th July,2012.
• Deadline: 20th July 2012
• Test date: 21th July 2012
ELIGIBILITY
The following categories of students are eligible to apply for the scholarship:
• Secondary school leavers,
• College and Polytechnic students
• IT Graduate (Employed and Unemployed)
• Non-IT Graduate (Employed and Unemployed)
• University students,
• Graduates
• Postgraduates (Employed and Unemployed).
• ‘O’ Level
• ‘A’ Level
• Undergraduate Students
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application for the NIIT scholarship can be done in two ways;
1. Interested applicants can complete the application form Online. Or
2. visit the NIIT centre closest to you(find list of NIIT centres below).
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE
• Depending on your performance in the NIIT scholarship qualifying test, you may get up to100% fee waiver on your IT training at NIIT Nigeria.

Could you please provide me with answers to the questions below:
Will the scholarship be in kind or cash? As in, if you qualify eventually, would you be required to undergo a career training or it equivalent with NIIT in such a way that the charges will be reduced as a result of the scholarship? Or are you, as a winner, going to be given a particular amount of money?
Can you register twice online?
What can you do if having registered online you didn’t remember to print your reference sheet?
Must you attend the NIIT seminar before you will be allowed into the exam?
Will the questions be sub-OBJ or the opposite?
Will the question be restricted to IT subjects or randomly selected from every other areas like Chemistry, Math, Biology, Government…?
And finally, are you going to be provided with medium via which you can check your performance yourself?

i appreciate what niit is doing for us. But i have questions which are:how long will the training last? In what areas can one find jobs with the niit certificate? When is the seminar taking place and where? Thanks in anticipation that i will soon get the reply,maybe through e-mail
