The obafemi awolowo University result statistics have been released, after the 2012/2013 post-utme examination, and quite unsurprising, the failure rate was massive.

The result according to a release by the OAU PRO showed that out of 35,823 students that sat for the exam, 7,663 scored above 200 against last years 8,600+ and only 51 candidates scored above 300marks.

A statement by the university Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, also showed thatthree candidates, Ogunlade Stephen Tayo (UME form No: 25457115HI/32882), Kolapo Ismail Abidemi (UME formNo: 26328328HJ/1515 and Ayansola Oluwaseun Joshua (UME form No:2604698BH/13940) exhibited exceptional
academic brilliance in the screening exercise by scoring 337, 335 and 332, respectively. While Ogunlade Tayo wanted to study Biochemistry, Kolapo Abidemi wants to study Medicine and Surgery, while Ayansola Joshua
wants to read Law.

It is also recorded that the carrying capacity of the Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) was around 5000 which comprises of both UTME and direct entry applicants which means that, a maximum of 5000 candidates would be granted admission out of the 7,663 who made 200 and above.

VNTI earlier warned candidates before the post-utme about the Negative marking style of the Obafemi Awolowo University, but few paid heed, and like they say, Experience is the Best teacher. we hope Had I known would never come at last in your admission.

The OAU admission process is more difficult than the examination just concluded as candidates await the 2012/2013 OAU admission list.
