2012/2013 FUTA DIRECT ENTRY EXAMINATION AND POST-UTME DATE OUT/ANNOUNCED

The management of The Federal University of Technology Akure has announced the Following ahead of her 2012/2013 post-utme exercise:

All candidates who made the Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA) their first or/and second choice(s) and obtained a minimum score of 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in March, 2012 are invited for the Computer based screening exercise in the University from Wednesday, 6th June to Saturday, 9th June, 2012.

Similarly, candidates who made FUTA their first or/and second choice(s) for the Direct Entry Admission for the 2012/2013 academic session are also invited for a Computer based Pre-Admission screening exercise on Saturday, 9 th June, 2012.

The Computer based screening exercise will hold as scheduled below:

Candidates are to come strictly according to their schedule that would be obtained automatically (printed) from the internet after their registration.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Register for Your 2012/2013 FUTA USING THE GUIDELINES BELOW:
1. Each FUTA aspirant is to make a payment of N 2,000:00 (exclusive of bank commission/charges) at any commercial Bank nation-wide using the e-transact platform.

2 Please note that the CANDIDATE’S UTME/DE Registration number and the full name should be correctly provided at the point of payment.

3. After the payment, each candidate should visit the University(FUTA) website and complete an online registration form. The completed form which will indicate the exact date and time for the screening exercise should be printed for the candidate’s use.
Note: The registration exercise which will commence on Thursday, 24th May, 2012, will close at 12.00 midnight on Monday, 4th June, 2012.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
All candidates are requested to bring along the following items to the screening venue:
1. Depositors copy of bank teller indicating payment of TWO THOUSAND NAIRA (N2000) for registration.
2. Print out of e-transact receipt (collected from the bank).
3. Completed Registration Form (downloaded from the FUTA website).
4. JAMB UTME Notification of Results/JAMB slips for Direct Entry candidates.
5. The venue of the screening exercise is the Electronic Test Centre (ETC) Obakekere Campus Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA).
6. Candidates are NOT allowed to bring cell phones or electronic gadget(s) into the examination hall.
7. Any FUTA UTME/DE candidate who fails to present himself/herself for the computer-based screening exercise will NOT be considered for admission.
8. Candidates are requested in their own interest to have a feel (practice) of the computer based test
9. Candidates can visit the University Computer Resource Centre for Registration and Computer-based Test Training.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL
THE SCHOOLS/DEPARTMENTS OF FUTA
• All courses are of five years duration except for Architecture, which is for six years.
• Admission to all courses is mainly through the U. T. M. E.
1. Entry Requirements:
i. 5 ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two sittings preferably including English Language.
ii. However a pass in English Language in any of the following examinations would be acceptable viz:
