>ALL HAPPENING IN THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN AS STUDENTS PROTEST OVER POWER SUPPLY

>

The students of the University of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria, have taken to the street of the Institution in a peaceful protest to demonstrate their unhappiness over the constant power failure within the campus.

The protest led by the University of Ibadan's SUG leader, Raymond Edosa, started around the early hours of yesterday, the 24th of April, and is likely to continue today as the students show their displeasure over the running of power by the power holding company of Nigeria.

According to a student, they are not going to end the protest untill their needs is met.

We appeal to the PHCN and the University management to give in to the students plea, in order not to turn a peaceful protest into a violent one.
